好事,希望先把以前有的航线巩固一下,比如,日本的航线,就太少了,大部分是联程的。哈哈,先解决我的回国问题。

官网报道:
Lufthansa flights to two new destinations in China
Direct flights to Nanjing and Shenyang – Lufthansa the leading European airline in China

11.12.07
Lufthansa is expanding its route network from three to five destinations in China in the year of the Olympic summer games in Peking. Starting summer 2008 it will then be laying on the first flights by a European airline to route newcomers Nanjing from Frankfurt and Shenyang from Munich alongside its existing services to Peking, Shanghai and Guangzhou (Canton). Both the new connections will be operated by an Airbus A340-300 seating 221 passengers in First, Business and Economy Class.

Together with its services to the new destinations, German's largest carrier will be operating a total of 58 flights weekly from its Frankfurt and Munich hubs to the People’s Republic of China and Hong Kong. “With Nanjing and Shenyang in the timetable, Lufthansa will be offering customers convenient and fast services to two further major Chinese cities, said Karl Ulrich Garnadt, Executive Vice President Services and Human Resources Lufthansa Passenger Airlines. “Among European airlines, Lufthansa has by far the best services to China with the most weekly direct connections and the widest choice of destinations. With the steady expansion of our network and with our new Chinese Star Alliance member-airlines, we are well poised for global competition in Asia now and also in the future.”

From 31 March 2008, Lufthansa is laying on five non-stop flights weekly on the new route ex Frankfurt to Nanjing. The City at the Yangtze River Delta lies about 270 kilometres west of Shanghai and has an important inland port. Between the two cities is one of China’s major commercial regions equipped with a good motorway network and where a number of German and international companies have set up branches. Many of the locations in the densely population region are within faster reach from Nanjing than from Shanghai. The new connection will certainly also offer a convenient alternative for Shanghai passengers.

The second new connection, which comes on stream from 8 June 2008, will link Munich thrice weekly with the Shenyang metropolis with a stopover in Seoul. The provincial capital in the northeast of China is located around 700 kilometres from Peking and ranks among China’s big industrial centres. Aside from automobile and aircraft production, the City is the home of an important IT sector. Shenyang is also one of the venues for the Olympics in summer 2008.

Flights to the new destinations can be booked from 13 December 2007. A special inaugural fare from 699 euros will be on offer from 19 December. This fare is for Economy Class, it includes taxes, fees and the Lufthansa Ticket Service Charge of 15 euros when booked online at www.lufthansa.com. Miles & More members can earn mile credits on the flights. Information can be obtained and flight reservations made on our website, at the Lufthansa Call Center on phone 0180 – LUFTHANSA (0180 5 83 84 26), Lufthansa travel agency partners or Lufthansa airport ticket counters.

之前一直以为汉莎会开西安直飞法兰克福的欧洲航线,现在看来也没戏了。。。;huffy

Pittsburgh airport announces agreement with airport in Xi'an, China

PITTSBURGH, Nov 18, 2007 (Beaver County Times - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- UAIRQ | charts | news | PowerRating -- Pittsburgh International Airport has been hurt by US Airways' retrenchment in recent years, but the void has created opportunities for the region to build on its economic relationship with the world's fastest-growing economy.

Allegheny County and airport officials announced Thursday that they have signed an agreement with Chinese officials to create a direct air cargo route between here and Xi'an Xianyang International Airport, one of the country's largest.

"This is fertile ground for us," said Mike Langley, chief executive officer of the Allegheny County Conference on Economic Development, during a press conference Thursday.

Local officials are dubbing the would-be route the "Air Silk Road" because the city of Xi'an -- pronounced shee-hahn -- was the easternmost point on the ancient Silk Road, a 5,000-mile trading route that connected the Roman Empire with imperial China. Today Xi'an is a growing city with a metropolitan population of more than 8 million.

The air cargo route is far from a done deal, though. Allegheny County Chief Executive Dan Onorato said Pittsburgh and Chinese officials signed a letter-of-intent last week in Xi'an that indicates they are interested in establishing the route. Glenn Mahone, chairman of the Allegheny County Airport Authority, was on hand for the signing and said Pittsburgh's delegation was "very well received... there were brass bands, ceremonial costumes and samurai swords."

But regulatory agencies from both countries still have to approve the would-be route, and Onorato said it would be several months, at least, until both sides work out details of the agreement. Onorato would not predict what economic impact the route would have on the region or when cargo could start being shipped directly between Pittsburgh and China. Mahone said the agreement also "contemplates future passenger service" between Pittsburgh and Xi'an, but the initial focus will be solely on cargo.

All the cards are in place for the agreement to work, officials said, noting that the airport authority has more than 2,000 acres surrounding the airport that are "shovel-ready" for development, and the airport itself sits within a five-hour's drive of more than half of the nation's population.

And there is plenty of room for growth on Pittsburgh's ramps and runways and in the skies above the airport -- in large part because US Airways has continually gutted operations here this decade, creating an airport that can handle roughly three times the operations it does now. "China officials recognize Pittsburgh International Airport's capacity to handle all types of aircraft, our accessibility by air, rail, land and water, and the availability of cargo facilities," Mahone said.

"We're not looking to put up a lemonade stand. This would make us the first city outside the coastal cities to establish major cargo links to China," Mahone said.
